Honda Fit or Jazz?
Depending on your region your Honda is call a Fit or a Jazz. Why did Honda decide to call the same car by two different names? Well in this case the name was intended to be Fitta which didn’t translate well in Scandinavia, So Honda chose to name it Jazz in Europe since the slightly modified name Fit was too close to Fitta. Now why didn’t Honda just call it by Jazz in North America well I don’t know, my best guess is that it didn’t test well with the consumer.

What does GD - GE - GK mean?

These are Chassis Code located in our Vin number, it determines which generation our Fit/Jazz is part of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even 4th (if you're not in North America). Lots of times you’ll see it followed by a number (I.E. GE8) the number can tell you a bit more like what region it is from.

What generation is my Fit / Jazz?
GD :: First generation 2001 - 2007
GE :: Second Generation 2008 - 2014
GK :: Third Generation 2015 - 2018
GR/GS :: Fourth Generation 2020 - Present ( Not sold in North America)

What Does USDM, JDM, and so on Mean?
Japanese Domestic Market (JDM)
United States Domestic Market (USDM)
Europen Domestic Market (EDM)
Canadian Domestic Market (CDM)

JDM Conversion?
Yes, you can but it isn’t cheap, You need the Headlights, fenders, hood, bumper, hood release cable (I believe), rear bump and a few other things I can’t remember but I’ll update later if I find the list of parts.

What is the Difference Between the USDM and JDM?
The front end is the biggest difference between the two, the USDM version got a slightly longer front end and longer rear bumper compared to the JDM version. While most (if not all) other countries also got the shorter front end like Japan did. The other difference is that the USDM only came with a 1.5L engine while depending on the region and generation they came with a 1.2L, 1.3L, or a 1.5L engine.

Can I add camber to the rear wheels?
If you own a GD or a GK then yes with shims. Unfortunately for the GE no you can’t add camber to the rear.

How can I tune my car?

Yes! You can listed below are the flash modules that are used to reprogram the stock ECU (Computer) This is the best type to use when your doing just bolt ons.
     GD :: Hondata
(Hondata can be used with a K swap, may need additional electrical work to get dash to work correctly)
     GE  :: Ktuner
(Hondata can be used with a K swap, may need additional electrical work to get dash to work correctly)
     GK  :: Ktuner
(Hondata can be used with a K swap, may need additional electrical work to get dash to work correctly)

Other options are full standalone Units. This option will need a base map and tuning to get your build running correctly also additional wiring work to your harness.

17’s on my Fit?
Yes, you can run 17’s on your Fit. BUT you need to know a few things first. You may need to roll and may even have to pull your fenders if you're lowered, you will rub if your car is lowered whether it’s because you hit a dip in the road or because you have some extra weight in your car. That’s part of the game, oh and don’t forget camber. I’m working on a full list of offsets and tire sizes that work that. (more info will be posted for other chassis)

******* I have no personal experience with running 17’s on my Fit *******

Tire size for 17’s ?
So it seems most people are running 205/40 size tires. Please note not all tires are the same some are a bit wider or narrower.
