My 2010 Honda Fit
Here is one of the First pictures I took of it when I got home (the non-Evo Lancer in the back was what the fit replace)
Project Fit, yea I know its not something you say to yourself "Man I want to build a Fit!" but I did. It wasn't until after buying the Fit did I fine out the lack of aftermarket support for the engine unlike the first gen; Even with their limited goodies the first Gen. (2007-2008) Has the option to go with a turbo or super charger kit and even Hondata step up and made a flashpro for the first gen. Tho that took some time for them to do. So shortly after driving it [The Fit] around for a while I couldn't complain even with the lack of power it's still a very fun car to drive even with some of its small flaws that needed to be fixed, but the extra space and great gas mileage was a plus and I was able to get it as a base model with a 5 speed for a good price. So with the limited support just means more D.I.Y. projects and other ideas that I have, now if only I could just stick to one and do it.
So like most people in today's world I went to the one place I know I could get some tips on what mods I wanted to do with the car an even fine out how to do them.
TO THE INTERNET! that's right to the Forums I went. After reading thread after thread and enjoyed the car for what it was. The mods started, It didn't take long for me to start with the mods really I think on day two or three I re-clocked the position of the rear wiper blade. Then the next month I re-did the headliner with a friend of my mine.

Time for more upgrades
Acura Legend dual piston calipers and what I thought was ITR brackets
Later down the road I wanted to do some important upgrades things like better brakes and some other suspension goodies. I start with the brakes, not saying the O.E.M setup is bad, but why not since I had some unused parts from a Civic project that had to come to a quick end, as well as the lack of information on brake options for the GE8 [second gen, Fit chassis code] I thought this would be a good time to do some research.
After reading a lot of brake upgrade for the Civic I had I picked out a cheap O.E.M. Upgrade, the parts I sourced came off a 95 Acura Legend GS for the dual piston calipers which are almost the same as the Acura NSX calipers just a little heavier and no NSX name on them. I found these bolt up to the ITR (Interga Type R) caliper brackets as well. After a small set back by ordering the wrong brackets, I reordered the correct ones;
Along with this setup a lot of people said to use a 11" rotor. The only way to do that was re-drilled a set of Accord rotor's in a 4x100 bolt pattern, but then I saw people using a Mini Cooper rotor so I said why not. Now remember this set up was suppose to go on my 95 Civic not the Fit. While I had some down time waiting for the Mini rotors I did a test fitting on the GE8 using the stock rotor and the Legend caliper with the a T28 bracket (picture of that set up is showed below) once I found this set up would work and once I got the rotors in I did another test fit with all the parts needed then the only problem I ran into was wheel clearance; Come to fine out I need about 5 3/4" backspace. I went to a local wheel dealer to hunt down something that would work.

Good Ridge SS-lines picked them up from JHPUSA.com

Once I picked out the wheels I also picked up a set of Yokohama S. Drives 195/50r15; I also got a great deal on some Hawk HPS brake pads and a set of GoodRidge stainless steel brake lines, then add some Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid which means I don't have to flush the brake system every six months to a year I can do it once every other year depending on any track time (one day), The great thing about this setup was there was no cutting, welding or anything really difficult. Just needed to bend the backing plate. This can be done in your driveway or parking space, but I did need a little help bleeding the brake and it doesn't hurt to have someone around if anything goes wrong while working on your car.
